Is it possible for a particular material type to default certain values in different material master file views?

Any help would be appreciated.

We have only solved this by using a fake material number with set-up values and using the "copy from" feature in the material creation screen.

For the MRP views you can create MRP groups with the default values you want and when you create a new material you can assign it to the MRP group you want.

You have three option here pick one or more of them and those options can be use with the standard materials type:

* Create MRP profile and sign it to any new MATERIAL which will set a  default value in many views ( purchasing, MRP).
* Create one material with the default value and copy all the new materials  from it.
* Use excel sheet with the default value and use it to upload materials by  it.
